MultiMAX Will Save You Money
Preserves Investment in Existing Mixing Console

Alhambra, Cal. - Martinsound will be featuring their MultiMAX multiformat monitor controller at the AES 107th Convention in New York, September 24-27, 1999 on booth # 257. MultiMAX will augment the monitor section of an existing stereo mixing console and add the facilities necessary to handle complex surround sound mixes with only a modest financial outlay. It offers a comprehensive yet cost-effective solution to any studio wishing to make the transition to surround sound or facilities looking to diversify.

To assist studios in the transition to multichannel surround mixing, Martinsound is offering an informative guide: The Secrets of Doing Surround Sound on Your Existing Stereo Console, featuring MultiMAX. Anyone interested in obtaining a copy should contact Martinsound at 1-800-582-3555 or log on to www.martinsound.com.

MultiMAX will integrate with any stereo mixing console to add monitoring for 8-channel, 7.1, 5.1 and LCRS. The unit is the only surround monitor controller currently available to offer comprehensive downmixing in all formats, to insure backward compatibility on any playback system. Every stage of the encode/decode process may be monitored. MultiMAX includes the ability to insert an external processor and provides monitoring of the console mix buses or the mix recorder, additional premixes and the production track.

MultiMAX offers precise level control of multiple speaker systems, with solo, mute and dim control, and it incorporates a pink noise generator and individual level trims for easy calibration of the speaker systems. Downmix level options, LFE filter and bass redirection features complete the list of facilities offered by the unit. The easy-to-read LCD allows precise and repeatable setups. An optional remote is available.
